In the fall of 1996, the CCER began to admit economics graduate students. A student who has completed the required economics courses and a thesis can obtain a master's degree or a Ph.D. degree in economics or management. Students are expected to complete their MA degree in 2-3 years and Ph.D. degree in 3 years after their MA degree.
In recent years, many CCER MA graduates have continued their education in top universities abroad, including Harvard, Chicago, Stanford, Yale, Northwestern University, and other universities. Others are working in research institutions, government organizations and corporations. The CCER doctoral graduates mainly serve in universities, government organizations and financial institutions.
